Dancong Oolong Teas
Our Dancong Oolongs are sold by a tea-growing family who has been producing teas for more than 80 years. In the mist-covered mountains of Guandong Province, China, the Dancong style emerged, with teas often being produced from single tree-sized bushes that are hundreds of years old. Typically tasting like certain fruits, spices, and flowers, Dancong oolongs are excellent examples of selective breeding, as there are no additives involved in crafting the flavors of the finished tea. Our Dancong oolongs are grown without the aid of pesticides or artificial fertilizers, then picked and further developed in a multi-step process that includes withering, oxidizing, baking in woven baskets over charcoal, and shaping.
