Premium Traditional Light Tie Guan Yin Anxi Oolong Tea

Premium Traditional Light Tie Guan Yin Anxi Oolong Tea

Regular price $12.00 Sale

This Premium Tie Guan Yin was grown in Xiping, Anxi County, Fujian Province at an altitude of 800 meters by the Lam family of tea growers.

It was harvested in Autumn, and the "traditional light" designation refers to the amount of times the tea has undergone the vital tossing step in processing. When the leaves and buds collide with each other while being tossed, they oxidate somewhat, and more tossing generally translates to a thicker taste. Much of the light, or jade, Tie Guan Yin on the market which is processed according to modern conventions has been tossed two times, while this tea has been tossed four times.

Our Premium Traditional Light Tie Guan Yin has a thick, sweet taste, with a bold aroma. It is well-balanced in its flavors and is sure to delight fans of quality Tie Guan Yin!

200 gram bags will come sealed in the original packaging. 50 and 100 gram bags will be packaged in Sparrowtail's compostable pouches.

Harvested in Autumn 2024.
