Jin Jun Mei is a delicious black tea from Fujian Province made only from tips. The style is relatively recent, having been produced only since 2005, but in that time it has become one of China's most popular black teas. It is covered by fine gold-orange hairs which leave dusty traces in the bag and contribute to the thick mouthfeel of the brewed tea. Comparable in many ways to our Premium Golden Monkey, this is a finely structured and somewhat delicate tea that benefits from a relatively low brewing temperature. We recommend starting with 185f water, possibly brewing with slightly hotter water after several steeps.
