Locally called Jiu Qu Hong Mei. A subtle yet very tasty black tea made in Hangzhou, in Zhejiang Province, this is made from small-leaf Long Jing cultivars most famously associated with Dragonwell green tea.
The taste of this is layered and lively, though somewhat light, with notes of plum and rose and a slight tannic astringency, and brews up a rich orange-reddish color.
It is recommended to brew it at around 185-195f to bring out subtleties in the flavor.
