Grown high on Lu Mountain in Jiangxi province, this tea, also called Lushan Yun Wu, traces its origin to the Han Dynasty.
The "Cloud Mist" in its name, or Lun Wu, refers to the almost ever-present cloud cover in the tea-growing areas of Lu Mountain, which limits the plants' exposure to direct sunlight, something that changes the chemical composition of the leaves and imparts an umami flavor to its mellow sweetness.
Lushan Cloud Mist is brewed best with water that's between 170-180f, and does especially well dropped into a glass of hot water.
