It's so nice to have come upon this one. Grown in a tea garden 2050m above sea level on Bai Ying Shan in Yunnan, this tea was harvested in mid-April to a 'one bud, one new leaf' standard. It's also grown according to organic practices, and no pesticides or non-organic fertilizer are used.
The result is a very enjoyable sweet, malty tea with a subtle complexity, brewing up a deep orange-brown color. It can be steeped several times, and it's best started at a relatively low temperature (185-190f), reserving the option to raise the brewing temperature slightly in later steeps.
Spring 2024 harvest.
