Grown at 2000 meters above sea level on Ai Lao Shan in the remote Zhenyuan area of Simao, Yunnan, this is an unusual black tea which owes some of its processing techniques to Taiwanese production styles, giving it a highly unique, tasty, and aromatic character.
The light oxidation of the finished tea is reminiscent of Taiwanese black tea and high mountain oolongs. The tea master, Mr Guo, grew up in Taiwan and has applied much of what he learned there to the production of this tea.
This is a highly infuseable tea with a rich, fruity flavor and long lasting hui gan (returning taste). Well worth a try for those looking to try something a little different!
