This extremely tasty white tea is made almost entirely from buds, and a product of two varietals- a classic Bi Luo Chun from Jiangsu province, and a large-leaf Yunnan varietal that's well-suited in cooler high altitude regions. It has a sweetness similar to our Organic Green Spring Snail Bi Luo Chun Green Tea, with long buds as is so often the case with Yunnan-grown teas.
The taste is quite smooth, with a refreshing, almost citrus-like aftertaste, and almost completely devoid of astringency as long as steeps are kept to the shorter side. In our brewing tests, we got the fullest flavor from brewing at just over 190f, though lower temperatures (180 and 188f) yielded tasty results as well.
